Grandiose floral decor, gorgeous white dress, family and friends celebrating positivity... Wedding days are magical. It is an absolute honor to not only be considered, but selected to capture one of the most important days of the couple's life. Since January 2017, we at RDK Productions have been doing just that. Wedding planners can often point you in the right direction for vendors, including decorators, if they don't offer the service themselves. It is crucial to have a day of coordinator, at the minimum, to ensure that your day runs smoothly and to deal with the inevitable pitfalls. I have shot a few weddings that did not have wedding planners and there is a clear difference between the flow of the day. By nature, there are so many moving parts on wedding days that it's very difficult for a family member or trusted friend, for instance, to hop in and control the day. There'll be vendors, an officiant, family, friends, etc. that all need instructions throughout with very little downtime. Also, the venue likely has an end time in the contract that must be abided by in order to avoid overage charges. Delays through the day can eat into the reception time before you know it and you may have to decide on ending the evening early. You'll be happy that you implemented the services of a wedding planner at the end of it all, and avoided the headache.
